Somethings you can’t change

We live in the richest country in the world 

where we have a king and a queen

the most happy people on earth

and people can say what they want

I live in a city with a lot of different religions

which live peacefully together already for ages

where everybody is welcome to believe (or not)

since Desiderius Erasmus translated the bible

A local priest told me this has now changed

because of a war far away from where we live

which divides not only the country involved

but also over here in our local community

Both religious leaders involved wanted others

to speak out for one of them and make a choice

breaking and dividing the open dialogue between

build up in our city and which brings us together

I advised him: let them write down their thoughts

based on what they believe in and speak out once

and after this burry the documents in our city tower

on top to think about it when hearing our carillon play
